Yamaha Rhino ATV Injuries

The Yamaha Rhino ATV has been popping up as having an alleged defect to its design. In the past few years there have been hundreds of reports of injuries and some deaths due to rollovers. Many claims state that the Yamaha Rhino is top heavy and has wheels that are too small.

Yamaha sent out letters to owners of the Rhino in 2006 warning passengers to keep their arms, legs, and head in the vehicle at all times. Complaints against the Rhino, however alleged that there are not sufficient restraints to keep them in the vehicle during a rollover. Last year, Yamaha addressed this issue by offering to install doors and additional handholds as well as instructions for handling a rollover situation. No recall has been issued for the Rhino however.
