No more dust...

Our construction has finally ended. It really wasn't that painful but we are all glad not to be interrupted by some screeching power tool or the seemingly endless hammering or the noxious paint and glue fumes, not to mention the beautiful plastic curtains to hide most of the mess. Okay, so maybe it was a little painful! We have expanded the lobby area so that we actually have an entrance that you can walk through. We also have expanded our work space for filing, added a second larger conference room, two more offices and a break room. The actual decorating is still a work in progress but, it is nice to have the extra room now.
We are also pleased to announce a new hire at the firm. We will soon be adding another paralegal coming all the way from Las Vegas, NV. This expansion couldn't have come at a better time. We are however, losing our summer intern and would like to wish her the best of luck on taking the bar.

JingleBell 5K 2008

The Stewart Law Firm is proud to announce our sponsorship of the JingleBell 5K benefiting MADD (Mother's Against Drunk Driving-Texas.) We had a blast last year helping with the run and we are very excited about the new venue this year. The run will be held on December 14, 2008, at the Domain in North Austin. This change should lend to a very festive event. I will post the link to register in July. If you are interested in finding out more about The JingleBell 5K and MADD please visit their website http://www.madd.org/chapter/4800_2654

The Stewart Law Firm creates Truck Victims Rapid Response Team

Every year commercial trucking collisions cause senseless catastrophic personal injuries and wrongful death. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there are in excess of 400,000 accidents involving large commercial trucks each year in the United States. Unfortunately, these collisions result in thousands of fatality injuries to innocent victims. Due to the size and weight variance between large commercial trucks and passenger cars, the magnitude of injuries and damages are often substantial.

When trucking collisions occur, it is not uncommon for trucking companies and their insurance companies to start collecting evidence at the collision scene in order to gain an early jump on anticipated claims by victims and their families. Steps should be taken to see that evidence is preserved at the very earliest of claim stages.

The Stewart Law Firm has expertise, capabilities, and resources to handle all aspects of your 18-wheeler or commercial trucking case. Immediately upon being called in to handle a commercial trucking case, our dedicated staff and expert team begin work to assist victims.

Our Truck Victims Rapid Response Program was created to assist you by dispatching attorneys, staff, investigators, and experts out into the field in a matter of only a few hours. The specific items that our team focuses on for investigating and prosecuting commercial trucking claims include:
  • Complete survey and reconstruction of the collision scene
  • Vehicle and commercial truck and trailer inspections
  • Hand-in-hand work with law enforcement to review and inspect all obtainable information and data
  • Assessment of: electronic control module (EMC) data; truck owner trip and load records; driver logs; driver employee files; owner and operator compliance with federal and state trucking regulations - including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations; driver qualifications and fitness to operate; all onboard communication systems; employer hiring, training, and supervision practices; driver background records; and truck and equipment maintenance protocols.

Commercial trucking cases, like other large-scale litigation matters, often require time, expertise, and resources in order to obtain unprecedented results. The attorneys, staff and dedicated team of cutting-edge experts and consultants utilized by The Stewart Law Firm stand ready to assist you and your client with every aspect of your commercial trucking case.
