On February 27, 2012, the massive trial over liability of the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill is set to start in a New Orleans federal courtroom. At the present, the parties state that a trial will go forward. The trial is expected to be the largest environmental litigation in history. It will be interesting to see how all of this shakes out.
